From the K-Pop stage to the musical stage, many idol actors are combining their talents in singing and acting in popular musicals, and for this week’s poll, we want to know which idol musical actor could take on the bright lights of NYC’s Broadway.

FT Island’s Lee Jae Jin

Lee Jae Jin is the latest idol star to take on the musical stage, as he has been cast to play lead Troy in the popular Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical.

While Lee Jae Jin isn’t new to musicals, having made his debut in 2009 musical Shower, it’ll be interesting to see how the FT Island member brings the all-American character to life on stage when the musical comes to Korea on July 2.

2AM’s Jo Kwon

It was only a matter of time before the animated 2AM member would take his talents to the musical world.

The idol star appears to be completely engrossed in acting these, days, because when Jo Kwon isn’t on the set of KBS’ God of the Workplace, playing the hardworking Kye Kyung Woo, he’s starring in popular Broadway musical Jesus Christ Superstar as King Herod.

From smooth crooner to his vivacious variety character, Kkab Kwon, and now serious actor, Jo Kwon is an idol who will always keep fans guessing.

ZE:A’s Im Si Wan

After making waves on the small screen in hit MBC drama The Sun and the Moon, ZE:A’s Im Si Wan slipped into another cloak, starring as Joseph in the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

It appears the acting bug as bit the idol star, who recently wrapped up promotions with ZE:A’s unit group ZE:A Five, good, as Im Si Wan will not only be making his big screen debut in upcoming film The Attorney in addition to starring in short film Not Life.

Super Junior’s Sungmin

There must be a reason why the musical world keeps calling Super Junior’s Sungmin back.

Sungmin will be reprising his role in musical Jack the Ripper for the third year in a row this year.

And as if a world tour with Super Junior and starring in the popular musical in Korea once again isn’t enough, Sungmin has been cast to play the lead in Japanese musical Summer Snow.

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun

Sungmin isn’t the only Super Junior member juggling idol stardom and the musical stage.

After first taking on the role of D’Artagnan in musical The Three Musketeers in 2010, Super Junior’s maknae Kyuhyun returned to reprise his role this year.

Kyuhyun appears to have made himself right at home in the musical world, having also appeared in the musical version of Catch Me If You Can.

2PM’s Jun.K

2PM’s Jun.K is currently all-in for the group’s comeback, but before he was singing All Day I Think of You, he was starring in The Three Musketeers.

The idol star’s image in the musical is a far cry from the sexy smooth concept the 2PM members have returned with for their comeback, but we’re sure the musical is just the beginning of the talented vocalist’s musical journey.

Shinhwa’s Kim Dong Wan

With Shinhwa’s comeback just days away, we couldn’t leave Kim Dong Wan out of this week’s poll.

From perfect man to perfect transgendered man, Kim Dong Wan got all dolled up in 2011 to play the transgendered rock singer Hedwig in the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Based on Shinhwa’s “voguing” concept for its upcoming album, we won’t be surprised if the sassy Hedwig makes a comeback as well.

JYJ’s Kim Junsu

While many idol stars are just beginning to make their foray onto the musical scene, JYJ’s Kim Junsu is the reigning king, and his trophy case proves it.

Kim Junsu’s work in musicals Mozart! and Elisabeth have earned him two rookie awards, three Popular Star Awards as well as the Best Actor Award at last year’s Korea Musical Awards.

Just like JYJ’s concerts, sold out shows are a given when Kim Junsu is headlining a show.
